Sharps/Needles/Syringes
Many people rely on needles, lances or
syringes to manage medical conditions and to maintain their own health
or that of a family member. Injecting equipment is also often used by pet
and livestock owners or vets. For health and safety reasons, the correct
disposal of this waste type is obviously extremely important.
Will WSN Environmental Solutions
accept my sharps, needles or syringes?
WSN does not accept sharps, needles
or syringes at any of our sites.
What else can I do with my sharps,
needles or syringes?
- Your sharps must be secured in a strong puncture resistant container, such as an Australian Standard Sharps container.
- Sharps must NOT be placed in your recycling bin or garbage bin. Please dispose of your sharps at authorised collection points (check with your local council or hospital).
