Privacy Policy

The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act was passed by Federal Parliament and proclaimed on 21 December 2000. This Act is based around ten National Privacy Principles (NPPs) which set out standards with which organisations must comply when handling personal information, from collection to use and disclosure, storage, security and accessibility.

WSN Environmental Solutions is committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles. At all times we will respect and protect the privacy and confidentiality of personal information.

How WSN Environmental Solutions uses your personal information:

To service accounts, process, bill and collect payments.
To support customer questions about accounts, billing and payments.
To keep you up to date with information about our services and facilities, for example, changes to hours of operation or prices.
To invite you to events.
To process applications for tours of our facilities.
To respond effectively to customer inquiries, suggestions, complaints and compliments.

Sharing and disclosure of your personal information
We will not disclose information about you to a third party unless the disclosure is required or authorised by law, or you have consented to the disclosure.

We may disclose information about you to contractors who carry out activities on our behalf. For example, we may need to provide your details to the operators of our Waste & Recycling Centres in order to process your inquiry.

Security of your personal information
Personal information that we hold on our systems is protected through reasonable means from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure. We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed.
We undertake to train and educate our staff about the requirements of the Privacy Act.

Accuracy and Correction of your personal information
We will take reasonable steps to ensure the information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We will also take reasonable steps to correct the information we hold about you.

If you believe the information we hold about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, we request you inform us of this.

Access to your personal information
You may request access to the personal information we hold on you. Requests must be in writing and may take up to 30 days to be provided. We may charge you an administration fee for retrieving and sending the information to you. If we are unable to fulfill your request for access, we will let you know why.
